Party Earth Review Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese had already been a London landmark for more than a hundred years when the Great Fire of 1666 destroyed it – and much of the city. Rebuilt shortly after, the pub saw famous scribes like Charles Dickens and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle become regulars over the years, and today’s pint- and history-loving ... more

Party Earth Review Icebar London is the UK’s first permanent bar made entirely of ice. Constructed from crystal ice imported from Sweden’s Torne River, the bar is kept at a temperature of minus five degrees Celsius all year round, the better to keep the bar stools, glasses, sculptures, igloos, and walls from melting. The small space is best ... more

Party Earth Review As the name implies, Roadhouse is a recreated highway truck stop whose bright neon sign adds unexpected flair to London’s historical Covent Garden square. Party Earth Review Minimal space, nightly DJs and a crowd united by a common interest in the latest live indie music make The Social the most aptly named bar in the city despite its out-of-the-way location on a rather deserted street near Oxford Circus. There are hundreds of relaxed, wild, laid-back, and rowdy London bars that range in size and vibe and dot every single neighborhood of the city. For sports lovers, the city provides in spades as sports bars can be found everywhere celebrating all of the London football clubs and even non-local favorites like Manchester United. In addition to football lovers, there are bars dedicated to cricket and rugby as well, so any time a match is being played, the bars are filled with cheering and shouting hooligans.
Being that it’s one of the most expensive cities in the world, there is no shortage of high-end and trendy bars in London populating the nightlife landscape as well. Exclusive spots can be found in the center of the city from the artsy rich in Notting Hill to the password-protected loving crowds of Mayfair, Knightsbridge, and Soho.
For scenes south of the river, there are grittier bars in Brixton that attract an underground music loving element while right next door in Clapham sees rowdy students and young professionals getting blitzed at the flirty bars all over the neighborhood.
East London has a much more alternative vibe with a plethora of DIY bars that look like they could be shuttered at a moment’s notice but cater to a budget-friendly, bohemian, and liberal-minded clientele.
Drinking in London is practically a national pastime and with the endless amount of bars in all corners of the city, it’s easy to understand London’s love affair with its watering holes.
