San Rafael, Ibiza

Home to both Amnesia and Privilege, easily two of the most famous nightclubs in all of Ibiza, the tiny village of San Rafael packs a big punch for the party crowd.

However, apart from these two powerhouse clubs and a handful of bars and popular restaurants, it’s a fairly quiet little village during the day – save for the time it takes bleary eyed clubbers to spill out at dawn and make their way home.

Art lovers will want to check out the village’s famed pottery shops, where wares are made using thousand-year-old techniques (San Rafael is the only official artisan zone on the island) and it would be difficult avoid ogling the enormous Los Olivos stud farm just off the main road...unless seeing where nearly three-dozen Andalucian thoroughbreds get such a royal treatment they even have their own swimming pool doesn't entice.
