The Scene

On an island known for its club music scene, the Ibiza Rocks Hotel’s Wednesday-night concert has managed to carve out a home for live rock music that has attracted the likes of Keane, the Arctic Monkeys, MGMT, and a wealth of other big-name bands.

The hotel’s rather blasé stucco façade gives way to an open-air courtyard that features a stage adjacent to the pastel-lighted pool and that welcomes two thousand music lovers every week who show up to dance and sing to their favorite band.

Guests of the hotel who happen to have a balcony overlooking the courtyard will have their own VIP setup, but even non-guests will have plenty of ways to enjoy the festivities.

Besides the concert itself, Ibiza Rocks provides numerous bars, several pool tables, and ample space for poolside lounging to make Wednesday nights truly memorable in the Ibizan club scene.

Tip from Jonah:

Go early to stake out a prime location for the concert. The place is bustling with hotel guests and lots of movement, so it’s easy enough to while away the hours and meet some new people before the music starts.

  • Crowd

Depends on the act, but mostly English-speaking tourists and fans of the bands, early 20s and up.

  • Entertainment / Music

Ibiza Rocks LIVE on Wednesdays, with live music from some of the biggest acts in the world. DJs spin tunes before and after the concerts.

  • Food / Miscellaneous

Bar snacks including pizzas, hamburgers, and fries.

  • Prices

    Tickets €50–€70/regular or €35–€45/early bird. Snacks €3+. Beer €5, mixed drinks €10, water €5.

  • What to Wear / Dress Code

Casual, with hints of glam, punk, and Euro-chic.

  • Hot Nights / When to Go

I stayed here when I was in Ibiza. Was a great hotel with great atmosphere. Chase n Status played at the hotel while we were there. They played right in front of our room but there was a barrier, you had to pay to go on other side (which wasn't necessary for us). The pool is so nice and lots of sunbaking chairs. There are buses going to the clubs in Ibiza town and the bus depot is a short walk from the hotel. Great hotel to stay at, although next time I visit Ibiza, I will stay on the other side of the Island in Ibiza town.
Just as rocking in the day time.

I went to a BBC radio one big weekend pool party at the Ibiza Rocks - it was by far the best day of our holiday. Tourists were jumping in the pool and sipping on beers a plenty..admittedly alcohol was not cheap but still fairly priced in comparison to the larger clubs in San Antonio. The pool area is surrounded by the high hotel block, the balconies camouflaged with humorous obscenities on sheets (probably from the rooms), adding even more so to the fun of the hotel! They also gave us a free membership card so that we could use their pool during the rest of our holiday! If you want a guaranteed good night (or day) and great laid back party atmosphere, you have to come here.
Great Pregame Spot

I went to Ibiza Rocks as a pregame to Amnesia my first night in Ibiza. Drinks were cheap and large, crowds were lively, and there was a cool club vibe that seems better than the lively clubs in America. The crowd was mostly British, which worked in my favor because I came off as the exotic American. In fact, I made a fun group of friends while in the bathroom who my friend and I had a grand old time with. After there was said to be free shuttles to the clubs, but the wait was too long and we just ended up taking a cab.
