Party Earth Privilege Review

The Scene

A virtual Shangri-La of clubbing, Privilege holds the distinction of being the largest club in the world, where up to 10,000 people can dance shoulder to shoulder on any given night.

A virtual Shangri-La of clubbing, Privilege holds the distinction of being the largest club in the world, where up to 10,000 people can dance shoulder to shoulder on any given night.

Needless to say, everything about the place is massive, from the huge staircase at the entrance to the immense dome overhead to the many dance arenas that are simply jaw dropping.

The first such arena features a DJ booth suspended in mid-air above a swimming pool, which is often integrated into over-the-top shows that range from erotic dancers to trapeze artists to abstract stage dramas.

From there, the stylish patrons can lose themselves in a labyrinth of rooms, each with a distinct character and musical style, and each with the same electric excitement that seems to ignite the entire club.

While a spacious terrace and garden provide a fantastic place to take a breather, the focus at Privilege is clearly on letting loose, getting wild, and losing oneself in the intense atmosphere.

Tip from Adriana:

The outdoor terrace and gardens provide a great place to take a break from the music and the massive dance floors and just chill out for a while. It’s not bad for flirting during the sunrise, either.

Fluorescent, Loud and Massive. These are the first things you feel when you enter the Privilege. At the first glance, the entrance looks pretty empty, but after few steps you are amused by the size, the number of people and the show just under your feet. Dancers, drag queen and light shows made you experience the circus. When Tiesto is there the atmosphere is surreal. At the privilege it does not matter if you like dancing or not, it does not matter if you like the music the DJs are playing... The only thing that matters is your party attitude. You are naturally part of the show. You can decide to join it or just to watch it.
Club or Festival Mainstage?

Privilege is mind-blowing. It takes about a 20-25 minute cab ride from the main city, driving in the middle of nowhere coming up to the club. It is absolutely ginormous - basically a huge warehouse of different levels, insane production, and crazy dancers in costumes. I saw Armin van Buuren there last summer, and it was incredible. The production and sound quality is impeccable. Drinks are very overpriced, so I'd recommend some sangria roadies beforehand. This is definitely a club to see if you have the chance to come to Ibiza. Its easy to spend 7 hours in there, partying until 8am, as the vibe, crowd, music, and production does not slow down a bit. Privilege made me truly understand the term 'superclub.'
Surreal, even sober.

It may be the biggest club in the world, but that doesn't mean you'll find an elbow's worth of spare room. If you can get there when Tiesto is playing, it's worth squashing against a few sweaty strangers just for the experience. The light shows are fantastic and the atmosphere unparalleled. The drinks are ridiculously overpriced, but seeing 10,000 writhing in one massive space is enough to get you buzzed. My advice? Ditch the alcohol for the night, drink a couple of redbulls and dance until the sun comes up.
