Circuit Paul Ricard is a motor racetrack located in the Le Castellet village in the Provence region of France. The circuit, built in 1969, was once known as one of the safest racing tracks in the world and is now known for its primary function as a testing track.
The track, once home to the Oreca F3000 team, has hosted the Formula One French Grand Prix 14 times and the French Motorcycle Grand Prix 13 times. Other racing events at Circuit Paul Ricard include the Bol d’or motorcycle race and the Ferrari Challenge.
The Paul Ricard Circuit facilities offer three event spaces, the Grand Prix Hall, the Panoramic Club, and the Karting Test Track Terrace, which are available for conferences and meetings, marketing events, and dinner parties and can accommodate up to 400 guests. Another feature of the Circuit Paul Ricard is its aircraft landing strip.
Since its opening, the track has been remodeled to improve safety and was renamed the Paul Ricard High Tech Test Track in 1999.
Notable racers who have driven Circuit Paul Ricard include Luca Cadalora, Angel Nieto, and Jackie Stewart.
