The racetrack, which runs along the streets of the Monte Carlo and Le Condamine districts, is known to be one of the most perilous of the Formula One circuits. The 19-turn circuit, which is just over two miles long and includes a tunnel, has sent two racers into the harbor below it and has been the cause of four racing deaths.
Other motor races that have taken place on the Circuit de Monaco include the F2, Formula 3000, and the GP2.
Notable racers who have driven Circuit de Monaco include Graham Hill, Riccardo Patrese, Olivier Panis, and Michael Schumacher.
