“For a great experience on one of Cannes’ private beaches, show up earlier in the day to secure an umbrella and a chair so you can be waited on in style before the masses of people arrive. If you’re sleeping in after a late night of dancing, though, there’s usually plenty of space on the white sand of the free public beaches – still within walking distance of the stores and bars, too.”

Located directly in front of the most luxurious hotels in town, some of the best shopping in the French Riviera, and the busiest nightlife in Cannes, the Plage de la Croisette has miles of beautiful sandy beaches filled with sunbathers and swimmers enjoying the clear, warm water.

A fair portion of the beach is taken up by hotel lounge chairs and beach bars, but there is ample room at either end for those who wish to enjoy the beach free of charge.
