International Polo Cup 2012 Sports / Polo Jul 5–15, 2012

The International Polo Cup is an annual polo competition held in July at Polo Club Saint-Tropez on the French Riviera. Located in Gassin, a small town just outside of Saint-Tropez, the Polo Club Saint-Tropez consists of two full polo fields that are often used for major Polo tournaments as well as a nautical-themed clubhouse and an Italian restaurant overlooking the grounds.

Beginning in 2003, the International Polo Cup is a week and half long tournament that draws top polo teams from around the world to compete for the International Polo Cup Saint-Tropez trophy. Spectators flock to the tournament not only to watch the matches, but also participate in the included events such as an Italian food and drink Happy Hour, an Argentine dinner party, and the polo team parade on horseback to the Saint-Tropez port. Past International Polo Cup winners include Villa Real and Wasabi 11.

Tickets for the International Polo Cup Happy Hours are €15, and tickets for the Argentine dinner party and tango show are €160. The remainder of the tournament’s events are open to all spectators.
