You might assume that every restaurant in the French Riviera would require mortgaging the house to pay the bill, but restaurants actually run the gamut from casual beach-side snack bars to palaces of multiple Michelin stars.
Almost every cool dining establishment offers lunch deals at prices that are far easier for the average person to swallow, and prices at restaurants tend to drop the further one proceeds from the coast as well.
Lunch time is also a much more fun and casual affair, with even the wealthiest denizens often in basic t-shirts and shorts. Visitors dropping in from the beach should keep in mind, however, that very few trendy French Riviera restaurants classify a bathing suit as shorts.
