Party Earth Review: Though it’s located just off the main shopping street of Rue d’Antibes, Morrison’s Irish Pub offers a homey refuge from the luxurious décor of its glitzy neighbors. This friendly English bar draws a faithful crowd of casual sporty types and features a rustic environment of dark wood tables, whiskey barrels, lanterns, a TV tuned to sports, and quotes by native son James Joyce scribbled on the walls. On game-free nights, live bands playing rock, jazz, and jaunty Irish music entertain the Guinness-chugging crowd. Those looking for a slightly more stylish experience can pop into Morrison’s Lounge right next door, which has a similar décor but a younger, hipper, and better-dressed congregation sipping cocktails and grinding to DJ-spun house music until the wee hours. ... read full review |
