A homey upstairs area features the wide main bar, several booths lit by busted-up neon signs, and a wide-screen TV, while the cozier downstairs area is home to a second bar and a small dance floor. Free space is at a premium in the basement, though the rather preppy regulars and bubbly young travelers don’t seem to mind as they elbow their way through the crowd and thoroughly indulge in the raucous vibe of loud music, high-energy dancing, and strong drinks. For an outgoing young crowd and wild parties, it’s hard to beat CheckPoint Pub as a major stop on a round of barhopping.
