As the largest city on the French Riviera, it’s not surprising that Nice also offers the largest range of nightlife options for every style and budget.

Centered in Vieux Nice (Old Nice), the scene finds diverse crowds of young revelers, from the upscale and fashionable set to punk rockers, all prowling the many inviting cafés, restaurants, bars, and clubs in search of the night’s best party.

While there are some good clubs, the bars really dominate the scene and most stay open extremely late. But, when the time does come for last call, the crowd splits itself between these late-night bars, private parties, and the beach to drink and dance until the sun comes up.

By day, the city’s beaches are packed with people of all ages who descend on the pebbly coast to work on their tans or partake in the numerous water sports available.

Those who prefer to stay out of the sun will find plenty to do among all the cultural activities, music festivals, boat shows, farmer’s markets, and amusement parks that Nice has to offer.
