The façade of the Hi Hotel may be art deco, but inside is pure futuristic fun, the centerpiece of which is the sleek and colorful Happy Bar.

The modern décor draws a young and trendy crowd that gathers to sip cocktails and spend a few leisurely hours chatting beneath an ever-changing display of multicolored lights and video projection screens.

The main design element is a sort of suspended half-shell caged structure that extends from the lower level, where it curves around some yellow banquettes, to the top level, where DJs spin electronic music as the patrons below show their moves on the dance floor.

Although weeknights are pretty low key, Happy Bar heats up on the weekends when the cool and fashionable crowd shows up to mingle and dance in a space-age setting.
