Events in the French Riviera

There are plenty of events in the French Riviera, most of which don’t require owning a yacht to participate in. Boat shows are big all year, and there’s that little film festival in Cannes you may have heard about, but there’s also the explosive Mardi Gras-esque Carnaval de Nice festival in February, with parades and dancing and live music and no shortage of rowdy fun.

Concerts and theater are also plentiful throughout the French Riviera, and while sports tend to be relegated to the water, there are also some of the best golf courses in Europe. But if your performance on the green is lacking, shopping on the Côte d’Azur is an activity that everyone – at least everyone who can afford it – can shine at.

For those who can fit a few parties and events into their beach time, the French Riviera also promises a day packed with a schedule of music, fashion, and fun.
