Disco 7 Gay Club

Cannes, French Riviera –

A bit off the beaten path and removed from the usual swanky nightspots of the city is the unique Disco 7, an unpretentious dance club located in Cannes’ somewhat shady old town district.

A bouncer stands outside the non-descript wooden door that leads the mostly local patrons to the main room, which features low ottoman seating and a circular bar glowing with neon blue lighting.

A dance floor accommodates not only the outgoing clientele, but also a spectacular twice-nightly drag show featuring three of Cannes’ most famous drag queens who strut their stuff and mimic famous pop stars old and new. Their sensual dance moves, incredible makeup, and elaborate costumes never fail to capture the attention of the rapt crowd.

When the show’s over, however, everyone floods back onto the floor for more high-energy dancing under a stream of flashing blue laser lights.
