Party Earth The Fish Pub Review

Although the clientele is largely English speaking, the lack of a cover charge attracts a relatively diverse mix of people who wander in and out, creating a constantly evolving crowd throughout the night.

At any given moment, visitors will find laid-back groups of students gathered at the tables, girls dancing around the bar getting warmed up for a night at the clubs, and guys in football jerseys huddled around the game on TV.

The party atmosphere can reach a fever pitch inside – no doubt aided by the venue's notorious five shots for €5 daily special – so those in need of a break can always step outside to the patio for a bit of air and elbow room, not to mention great views of the square and plenty of people-watching.

Known in the neighborhood as a “party pub,” The Fish Pub definitely knows how to land a good time.

terrible

Well first off let me just say I had worked at the Fish-pub as a promoter for a little while. The owner, Lorenzo, was a total pig. He did not pay us very much, and when it got to a certain hour he would only pay us 50 cents a person we brought back to the pub with a flyer. Any-who; there drinks are alright. It really does depend on who is making them because they will either be too sweet, too strong, too weak, ect. The music is like any other commercial American radio station and so you can only guess who is there a lot is Americans. Which I am not saying is a bad thing, but bad thing for Americans. A lot of the weirdest and grossest people I have ever met [ not from America] were at the Fish pub trying to pick up American women. Also to add, if you are Turkish or anything alike near that race they will not let you in because they are racist. Also the place is FILTHY. The time I have worked there I have NEVER seen them clean the seating areas or bathrooms unless it was necessary. I would not even go here as a last resort.

We were beckoned to Fish Pub by a promoter who was adamant that the free shot, five shots for five euros and cheap happy hour cocktails would be well worth our while. Ridiculously reasonable prices are the Fish Pub’s main draw, and the clientele is there to have a good time. We weren’t alone—in fact, there were no Italians besides the ones behind the bar. If you’re looking for an authentic Italian bar where the Florentines go, stay away from The Fish Pub. If you’re looking for a cheap, good time, well, this is the place to be.
