Party Earth Naima Review

Naima is a cool lounge and sorta/kinda sports bar whose affordable drinks and consistent party atmosphere attract a loyal crowd of young preppies, international students, and stylish hipsters.

A comfortable main bar area provides plenty of stools, tables, and seating where patrons gather under stone archways and subtle violet lighting to enjoy a drink and catch a game – including American football – on the flat-screen, while the candlelit lounge with its low sofas and coffee tables offers a more intimate environment.

As the night wears on, however, the buzz of conversation gets louder and the vibe gets livelier as bigger crowds stream into Naima to mix and mingle over pre-club drinks.

A Fun Bar, That Feels Like Home

Looking for ways to mingle with other American students without breaking the bank? Put Naima at the top of your to-do list ladies and gentlemen. A sporty, chic atmosphere paired with a super friendly bar staff, makes this venue a great place to meet new people and pregame before hitting one of the many late night clubs in Florence. Drinks are reasonably priced with additional happy hour and "crazy hour" prices each night. Ladies night on Thursdays is always a good time, with discounted mimosas and other drinks for the females. Bring in your University T-shirt, autographed by all your friends and the staff will happily add it to the wall of college shirts and memorabilia from the states. Bottle service is also available for big groups at very reasonable prices. Cheers!

If you are studying abroad in Florence or know someone that is and you go to visit, you will most likely be pregaming at Naima! They have great and affordable drink specials which is why all the students come here. Sergio is the owner and if you get to know him will give you a free bottle of Proseco on your birthday! Its very modern looking and you can't miss it with the bright blue inside lights and the millions of students standing around the door.

Located a few blocks away from the beautiful Palazzo Vecchio, Naima is a sporty, slightly chic bar that caters to the American study-abroad student crowd. It's a blend of the local college dive bar (with pennants, flags and other college sports paraphernalia) and the sleekness of an upscale Soho spot. The lighting is atmospheric and ecletic, if not a bit dark in places The seating is spacious, with many chairs and coaches to relax on. At night, you can learn a bit about Italian soccer from the large TV screens that dominate one of the walls and root for Fiorentina with the rest of your barmates. While the bar aims to appeal the young American crowd, you can meet and get to know several other international students as well. Beware of the crowds on the weekends, however! Like many of the other bars in the Santa Croce regions, they get mighty crowded mighty quickly; it might not provide as pleasant an experience. Most importantly, the drinks are tasty and cheap, and it's hard to complain if you think one of their cocktails might be a little sweet. If you're looking for a break from practicing your Italian for a night, have some fun at Naima.
Christmas? Or is it?

I once went to a Christmas party at Naima. It was like November 20, a little early but hey I had the most perfect green dress and why not get the Christmas festivities started! It was a great mix of people, and great drinks. One of them was so green I think it was glowing. Normally I wouldn't drink something so vibrant, but for celebrations sake I did, and it was delicous! There was enough room to lounge or to dance! Great night!
