Club TwentyOne is a no-frills dance club with a rowdy atmosphere that draws a loyal clientele of fun-loving locals, English speakers, and students.

A white-walled main bar area features white arches and a few sofas for the cocktail crowd to lounge on as red and blue spotlights flash from the dance floor in the neighboring black-box party room.

Matching red and blue tiles light up the floor and the elevated seating areas while the house DJ spins everything from drum and bass to Top 40 hits to keep the energetic patrons grooving all night long.

Although the club doesn’t offer much in the way of style or décor, TwentyOne’s ever-changing selection of music and outgoing crowd make it a great destination for young clubbers in need of a late-night party stop.

Save TwentyOne as a late-night destination when other places begin to die down. By 1 or 2am, this place is packed and the dance floor gets wild.

Mostly English speakers during the week with a mix of locals and international students on the weekends, 18 to 30.

DJ plays different music each night: house and R&B on Wednesdays, rotating selections on Thursdays, high energy dance and hip-hop on Fridays, electro-house on Saturdays, and anything goes on Sundays.

Smaller than I thought it was going to be and the DJ played strictly American Radio Hits one after another. I would have liked to seem some variety in the song choice because it got kind of old after a while. Also was confused about the tables, it seemed like it was just a mosh pit around them. But overall a pretty good spot probably if it were a Wednesday instead of Thursday

If you are looking for a club where you can dance till you drop, but also have the space to sit down for a drink or two then Club TwentyOne is your spot. With no cover fee you can come here as many times as you want without feeling like you are breaking the bank. When you enter the club, you will notice that the general population of people are young twenty-somethings most likely American students. However do not bother even showing up before midnight because the club will be as deserted as the mall on Christmas morning, but once midnight hits, this club will be jam packed with people ready to party. The DJ will spin an assortment of house, hip-hop, R&B, and dance music, anything to really get people moving. Which leads to my only major complaint to this club, the size of the dance floor. When peak hours hit at TwentyOne the dance floor becomes more like a can of sardines. But hey it only adds to the atmosphere, and making for some easy chances to meet new people, and get your freak on.

Half of Florence will try to enter the club with you, and there is a cover charge—be sure not to lose the ticket, and I’m speaking from experience here—but it’s still a crazy, fun night out. Several vodkas later you won’t care that you’re sweaty, it’s gross, and you can’t quite move—you’re swaying to Usher and having a great time. Watch out for the predatory men on the dance floor—ass-grabbing in Italy is a competitive sport, and Italians are notorious for being very, very competitive...

nishashah Aug 2, 2012 3.0 stars Come to Club TwentyOne to Dance! On Wednesday nights in April, Club TwentyOne is the place to be. Upon entry to the club you’ll walk down a set of stairs and into a small area with a bar. If you keep walking ahead, you’ll enter into a second open area with a larger bar and a space to socialize. Even further into Club TwentyOne is the third and largest room. Here you’ll see the DJ booth, tables, a dance floor, and a big mob of sweaty 20-somethings dancing and taking shots. This high-energy club has plenty of space, but at times it can be hard squeezing your way through the jam-packed dance floor in the main room. Drinks are not crazy-expensive, but if you happen to be a student studying in Florence and have gone on one of the organized Florence For Fun trips, the wristband will get you a free drink.
