Party Earth Review: One of the most happening nightspots in Florence, The Blob Club is a cozy two-story lounge and club that gets crowded early and stays that way all night long. From October to April, the venue hosts a late-night party scene that keeps the alternative crowd bumping until morning. Tables on the balcony provide a place to relax over conversation and keep an eye on the animated dance floor below, while the lounge seating on the first level gives way to various entertainment which can include movies, art shows, or live music. DJs pump out mixes that stray from commercial club and rap to include a range of genres like classic rock, old school hip-hop, and pop hits of the past. The mainly English-speaking patrons let their hair down and showcase their moves on the tiny dance floor, and help create the fun-loving and laid-back attitude that makes The Blob Club special.

Art shows, movies, and jazz on Mondays. Tuesdays feature a DJ open mic where patrons can make a short playlist of their own. Open mic for musicians, poets, filmmakers, and artists on Wednesdays.
