We the Kings hails from Bradenton, Florida and consists of Travis Clark (singer/guitarist), Hunter Thomsen (guitarist), Hunter’s brother Drew (bassist), and Danny Duncan (drummer), all childhood friends. The “Kings” in the group's name refers to the members' junior-high mascot.
The melodic emo-pop band released its first full-length, self-titled debut album in 2007, which sold over 250,000 copies in the U.S. backed by its hit single “Check Yes Juliet.” For nearly two years after the album's release, We the Kings played to crowds of young teenage girls around the world as they toured with contemporaries The Academy Is… and Hey Monday.
In 2008, We the Kings received the Best New Artist Award at the MTV Video Music Awards. A year later, the band released their second album, Smile Kid, from which the singles “We’ll Be A Dream” -- featuring guest vocals from pop sensation Demi Lovato -- and “Heaven Can Wait” were both regulars on Top 40 lists.
2011’s Sunshine State of Mind peaked at number forty-five on the U.S. charts and featured the hit single “Say You Like Me.”
We the Kings tickets are some of the hottest available, so don’t miss your chance to see the band as it continues to tour the world..
