U2 is one of the most popular band in the world and for a good reason. They blew up in the 80's with their best record thus far, Joshua Tree and have created great record after great record ever since even though they have not matched the success of Joshua Tree. Seeing them live will cost you and arm and a leg though since they are so popular and only play large arenas. I loved their 360 tour and got to see them in Anaheim. The stage was incredible and the put on an amazing show. You must go see U2 Live.

A band that reached its peak in the late 1980's with The Joshua Tree, and managed to hold the peak for another decade before falling off a cliff with the album Pop, U2 has been hovering below the top of the heap ever since. The band still makes great music, though I find some of their experimentation on recent albums a bit too reminiscent of Spinal Tap's Jazz Odyssey. If they'd stick to riffs from the Edge and get back, perhaps, to political/personal lyrics, they'd find the new generation of fans the band is sorely lacking and that would cement their place as one of Rock's top 5 greatest bands. In the mean time, if you get a chance to catch them in concert, I highly recommend it. They'll play all your favorite hits, and they have the coolest concert toys.

I am pretty surprised that I am the first one commenting about U2. Come on...It is U2! Everybody knows U2 either by the soundtrack from Tomb Raider or Gangs of New York Soundtrack or if you are more business savvy from how Bono made shitload of money (adding to the shitload he already had coz..he is the front man of U2!!) from Facebook's IPO or (this is for the older folks) for the song dedicated to "The Troubles" (Google it if you do not know what I am talking about)! I am not even sure what to talk about them. Their music does the talking. There was a time in college where I used to play U2 and drift off to sleep. My favorite songs are "Sunday Bloody Sunday", "Where the Streets have no Name", "With or Without You", "Beautiful Day", "Elevation" (Yeah..I am sure all you Lara Croft Fans were waiting for this one!), "The Hands that Built America", "Pride (In the name of Love)" and "New Years Day". I got more songs to the list but I do not want to take up space with just songs!
