Formed in 1997 in Warren, Michigan, hip-hop duo Twiztid is comprised of Jamie Spaniolo and Paul Methric, who perform under their stage names of Jamie Madrox and Monoxide Child. The duo got its start when it sent a demo to Insane Clown Posse’s Joseph Bruce, who invited the pair to tour with the band and sign with Psychopathic Records. Twiztid also followed Insane Clown Posse when that band signed with Island Records -- in fact, Twiztid's ten studio albums have a built-in fanbase among Juggalos, as fans of Insane Clown Posse are known. Twiztid performs a kind of hip-hop dubbed horrorcore in a comic-book villain act. Several of the group's albums have cracked the top 100 of the Billboard 200: 2000’s Freak Show (No. 51), 2003’s The Green Book (No. 52), and 2005’s Mutant (No. 80). Twiztid's biggest success was 2009's W.I.C.K.E.D., which peaked at No. 11. Twiztid left the Psychopathic Records family in 2012.
