Steel Panther is a glam metal band that pays homage to that genre’s musical heyday in the 1980s. The band is made up of Michael Starr (Ralph Saenz), Satchel (Russ Parrish), Lexxi Foxxx (Travis Haley), and Stix Zadinia (Darren Leader).
Originally formed under the name Metal Skool back in 2000, Steel Panther changed to their current moniker in 2008. The band has released three studio albums including Hole Patrol (2003) (Metal Skool), Feel the Steel (2009), and Balls Out (2011) with hit singles “If You Really, Really Love Me”, “17 Girls in a Row”, and “Just Like Tiger Woods”.
Steel Panther is known for their vulgar lyrics and outlandish stage personas which have taken them around the globe to perform, but mostly in Los Angeles where they keep a steady residency at the House of Blues in West Hollywood.
Steel Panther performances are generally outrageous affairs and the band has toured with major A-list artists like Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe. Steel Panther tickets can be easy to come by at The House of Blues, but performances in other cities can sell out.
