Born as Sophie Ballantine Hawkins in 1967, Sophie B. Hawkins is a singer-songwriter.
Sophie B. Hawkins debuted with Tongues and Tails in 1992. The album’s single, “Damn I Wish I Was Your Lover” shot up to #5 on the US Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.
In 1994, Sophie B. Hawkins released Whaler, which was certified gold. The single “Right Beside You” peaked at #2 on the Dutch Top 40 singles chart and at #13 on the UK Top 40.
In 2012, Sophie B. Hawkins began her starring role as Janis Joplin in the popular play, Room 105.
