Electronic music duo Simian Mobile Disco was formed in 2005 by DJs James Ford and Jas Shaw, both member of the now-defunct electronic rock band Simian.
Based in London, the group first garnered recognition in 2006 for its remixes of The Go! Team, Muse, Klaxons, Air, and several other bands’ tracks. Their 2007 debut album, Attack Decay Sustain Release, included the original tracks "Tits and Acid", "I Believe", "Hot Dog," "It's the Beat," and "Hustler" (with guest singer Char Johnson), and made it to the 11 spot on the US dance charts.
More recent studio albums include 2009’s Temporary Pleasure and Unpatterns in 2012.
