Deepak Oct 4, 2012 Serj Tankian- aaah how I have missed the old boy's voice ever since SOAD decided to take a hiatus. Thankfully SOAD is back together and I am really hoping for a new album. Meanwhile, Serj decided to go Solo and bring out a few albums and boy did he not disappoint! For all the SOAD fans, barring from Daron Makian's fast paced guitar plucking, Serj's songs could have fooled anyone into thinking that they are listening to SOAD. Serj still sings with the same energy and randomness for which SOAD became so famous for. Though the songs have become slightly more melodic but they still carry the main theme of a slow buildup (at times) and then just bleeding your ear drums. "Sky is Over", "Elect the Dead" and "Saving Us" used to be on repeat for me till I couldn't hear them anymore! Definitely worth listening to!!
