Razorlight

Having toured the world, topped the UK charts, and won over legions of indie rock fans to their energetic and infectious sound, Razorlight has taken over the world as much as any band of their ilk can hope to do. With singles like “America” and “Somewhere Else” soaring over the airwaves and into bedrooms and dorm blocks everywhere, this London quartet shows no signs of falling off their pedestal.

Formed and run by vocalist and lead guitarist Johnny Borrell, Razorlight has come a long way from the rotting East London farmhouse where it first started rehearsing. The band’s spirited sound -- bouncing indie rock with heavy doses of the Police and David Bowie -- immediately resonated with modern rock audiences, who saw Razorlight as a poppy, modern interpretation of classic rock bands.

The band’s style also resonated with its musical forebears, as Razorlight has played with members of The Who and Queen. Razorlight shows are the type of good-natured and high-energy concerts that indie rockers love, full of lilting rhythms and the occasional mysterious stage banter.
