mshen2424Nov 7, 2012I absolutely love the way Ra Ra Riot fuses an energetic indie pop vibe with classical string instruments like the violin and cello but they definitely cater to a specific type of indie pop audience. I saw them at UCLA's BruinBash 2012 and while they were as great as I imagined they would be, you could tell that this was not their crowd. Most of the audience was waiting for Chiddy Bang to perform and Ra Ra Riot was the second act, so you can see how they were outside of their element. Regardless, they did a phenomenal job, much better than Chiddy Bang, in my opinion, and it's definitely a different experience seeing them live with all their musical instruments set out than it is just listening to them.
