Passion Pit Bio
Passion Pit is an indie rock band formed in Boston, Massachusetts, whose members – aside from lead vocalist Michael Angelakos – all attended Berklee College of Music.
Passion Pit took the music world by storm with the release of their first full-length studio album, Manners, in 2009, which featured two singles “The Reeling” and “Little Secrets” that broke into the Billboard Alternative Songs chart. The song “Let Your Love Grow Tall” gained the group exposure after being featured on the popular TV show Ugly Betty; “Moth’s Wings,” was used in the shows Gossip Girl and Big Love as well as the feature film Life As We Know It.
Energetic Passion Pit performances around the globe – including a memorable appearance at the Glastonbury Festival near London in 2009 – played just as big a role in the band’s burgeoning popularity.
In 2010, Passion Pit toured with Muse and gained even more fans worldwide. Two years later, Passion Pit released their second album, Gossamer, to commercial and critical success; it peaked at number four on U.S. charts and cracked the top sixty in the UK.
