Ariel Chisholm Nov 20, 2012 I do not understand the appeal of Nicki Minaj at all. I can't stand listening to her rap. I actually like her voice when she sings but her rapping voice drives me absolutely insane. It's honestly like listening to nails on a chalkboard. She ruins perfectly good songs. Even if I'm talking to someone and completely not listening to whatever is playing in the background, I cringe and immediately notice if I hear her voice and I can't think about anything other than how much it bothers me. I will truly never understand.

Chad Freet Aug 24, 2012 I can't believe I'm actually writing this, but you know what....I don't care. I heard "Starships" in my friend's car about a month ago and started laughing...I mean, all I knew about Nicki Minaj was that she has a weird voice and rapped in the middle of Madonna's set during the Super Bowl. I had written her off as a flavor of the week...BUT that damn dancey hook in the middle of the song got to me. I started hearing the song in my head. "If you want mo...mo..." AARGH! I downloaded the song and used it as a gym/treadmill song. But then something weird happened...I actually previewed some other stuff and now my iphone is filled with this cra...uh, super catchy music. Nicki's cool.

Gabriel Larkman Aug 13, 2012 I just went to Nicki's concert at Club Nokia last Wednesday and it was absolutely amazing. Nicki Minaj is psycho and I love her. Her lyrics are hilarious, especially for her rap songs. My personal favorites from her are "Come On A Cone," "Roman Holiday," "Roman's Revenge," as well as her verses in "Bottoms Up," and her all-time best verse in Kanye West's "Monster." She also has multiple stage personalities, including Harajuku Barbie, Martha (previously just her Manchester accent) and her best personality, Roman. Nicki's pop stuff is eh. She's not a great singer and not that great of a dancer, but when she raps and recites her crazy nonsensical lines, she shines.
