Wam SangelinMar 11, 2013Lupe Fiasco is a true artist when it comes to his music. I have seen him twice so far and the two shows, while being equally awesome, were so different I still can't believe it. The first time, he came out in a white three-piece suit with his DJ rockin the beats. He played an amazing show and never forgot to show his respect and admiration for the city he's from (Chicago) and all the people that helped make him who he is today. The second time I saw him, he was totally different, going back to his roots. He had dreadlocks and was just wearing jeans and a tshirt. Instead of having a DJ he had a full blues band, making everything sound that much more real. He will surely become a Chicago legend.
ntresnowskiNov 2, 2012I've been to four Lupe Fiasco shows and never walked away disappointed. Lupe is a performer as much as he is a rapper. The second time I saw him he walked out in an all-white tuxedo to the Rocky Theme and did a backflip to end the intro and went right into Superstar. So sweet. He can get a little over political sometimes in his banter between songs but his music and energy more than make up for that. The first time I saw him I only knew one song and was still very entertained and immediately went to listen to more of his music when I got home.
My pops last words to me were via my big sister. He said "Tell Wasalu to tell the truth."
Great man, rest well #HFD
