Comedian and insult specialist Lisa Lampanelli was born in Connecticut and studied journalism at Boston College, went to graduate school at Harvard, and worked as a copy editor for both Popular Mechanics and Rolling Stone before she made the move to stand-up comedy.
Lampanelli began performing stand-up in New York City in the 1990s and saw moderate success, but her big break came when she was given the opportunity to participate in the 2002 roast of Chevy Chase at the New York Friars’ Club. The comedian went on to roast the likes of Denis Leary, Pamela Anderson, William Shatner, Flavor Flav, Donald Trump, Jeff Foxworthy, Andy Dick, and became a regular guest on The Howard Stern Show.
Lisa Lampanelli performances are far from politically correct, as the comedian is known for her ethnic, racial, sexual slurs, and ruthless stereotyping. However, Lampanelli is loved by fans and has had starred various TV specials including 2009’s Lisa Lampanelli: Long Live the Queen on HBO.
Lampanelli has also made guest appearances in the films Delta Farce and Drillbit Taylor and various TV shows, but she truly shines brightest performing stand-up on stage. Be sure to buy your Lisa Lampanelli tickets before they sell out!
