Kimberly Denise Jones – known professionally as Lil’ Kim – is a singer-songwriter, rapper, record producer, and actress. Lil’ Kim, whose work is heavily influenced by Diana Ross, MC Lyte, and The Lady of Rage, got her first big break when she become a member of Junior M.A.F.I.A. and the group’s debut album, Conspiracy, garnered commercial attention.

In 2002, she won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals for her performance of “Lady Marmalade” (made for the hit movie Moulin Rouge) with Pink, Christina Aguilera, and Mya.
