Knife Party Bio

Knife Party

Knife Party is one of the biggest duos in electro house and dubstep. Founded in 2011 by Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen of the Australian electronic rock group Pendulum, Knife Party has risen across the charts with some of the most popular club tracks in the world. Blending elements of pop music and reggae with dirty bass lines and hard dubstep, Knife Party makes dance music with a serrated razor’s edge.

Knife Party’s released their first EP, 100% No Modern Talking, in 2011 through EarStorm, revolutionizing the electronic dance music scene (EDM) with the deliberate absence of “talking” bass lines. Knife Party carried the electronic innovation even further with Rage Valley, released through EarStorm and Big Beat in 2012, and the track “Bonfire” was even used for an episode of Breaking Bad.

Knife Party’s hit single, “Antidote”, with Swedish House Mafia climbed to number 4 on the UK charts in 2012, gaining fans all over the world in nightclubs and on Soundcloud and Beat Port. Their energetic live set mixes a bit of stage performance with bright lights and live spinning for a hard electronic show that gets the whole crowd dancing and trashing to the beat.
