Kid Cudi

Born as Scott Mescudi in Cleveland, Ohio in 1984, Kid Cudi is best known as a rapper and hip-hop artist, although he has also produced music as well as acted on TV shows. In 2008, Kid Cudi first jumped onto the scene with the release of his mixtape, A Kid Named Cudi, which not only received critical acclaim but also, perhaps more importantly, caught the attention of Kanye West who essentially took Kid Cudi under his wing. From this point Kid Cudi took off to stardom and never looked back.

Since his first mixtape, Kid Cudi has released two solo albums, Man on the Moon and Man on the Moon II, along with one self-titled album with his band WZRD. All three of these albums reached the top five of the Billboard chart, with many albums that he has collaborated on reaching Gold and Platinum certifications as well. Kid Cudi’s mega single Day ’n’ Nite went double platinum, while twelve other singles he was a part of were charted on the Billboard Hot 100. Kid Cudi’s live shows are fairly mellow for rap concerts with a sort of psychedelic–marijuana infused atmosphere. Tickets to Kid Cudi’s concerts are reasonably priced, but can be difficult to find at the last second.
