Born in 1948 in Everett, Washington, Kenny Loggins began his career as an American singer-songwriter in 1968 with his band, Second Helping’s release of their hit single, “Let Me In.” Loggin’s career really took off in 1970 when he teamed up with fellow singer-songwriter Jim Messina to form Loggins and Messina. Loggins is known for his mellow rock music from his early days, then his movie soundtrack songs that have been among his most successful tracks.
Between Loggin’s solo career and Loggins and Messina, Loggins has recorded an amazing twenty–nine albums with “Mother Lode,” “Full Sail,” “Nightwatch,” and “Keep the Fire” being among the most notable with all having achieved platinum status in the US. Kenny Loggins also released many prominent single tracks like “Footloose,” which reached #1 on the Billboard Top 100, “Danger Zone,” which reached #2, and “ Your Mama Don’t Dance,” which reached #4. Loggins’ concerts are nostalgic collections of all of his hits throughout the years. Tickets to Loggins’s shows are rather expensive, however they are generally easy to come by and can be found on his website.
