Jimmy Carr

Jimmy Carr is an English comedian, writer, actor, and TV and radio host whose performances are characterized by dark humor, one-liners, and deadpan delivery. Carr is most famous for his sold-out stand-up tours, and has performed to sold-out crowds at Dublin’s Vicar Street, Glasgow Festival, Galway Festival, Kilkenny Cat Laughs, and Edinburgh Festival.

In addition to his success as a stand-up act, Carr has hosted several shows for the British Channel 4 station including Distraction and Your Face or Mine? From 2004 to 2006, Carr hosted a U.S. version of Distraction on Comedy Central. Carr is also a regular guest on the BBC radio programs Loose Ends and The Fred MacAulay Show.

Jimmy Carr’s popularity is continually growing in the U.S., and he toured with The Killers in Las Vegas in 2009 as part of the band’s effort to make their show more Vegas-friendly. Carr has appeared on several American talk and late-night shows including Late Night with Conan O’Brien and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
