A Canadian stand-up comedian and actor, Jeremy Hotz is known for his unique style of observational humor and his catch phrase “what a miserable…,” which he has used for everything from the opening line of his acts to the naming of his tours and comedy specials.
The master of misery, Hotz, born in 1963, has been entertaining crowds since the 1990s and began by performing at clubs all over Canada. Hotz’s first big break came when he got to perform at the prestigious Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal in 1997. Since then, he has appeared at multiple festivals and has gone on to act in various TV shows, films, and stand-up special performances.
Jeremy’s TV credits include a recurring role on the excellent, but little known, The Newsroom (1996-1997), Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Comedy Central Presents, and countless others. On the big screen, Hotz had roles in Speed 2: Cruise Control, My Favorite Martian, and more.
Hotz has traveled all over the world, performing bits from his tour “What a Miserable Tour This Is…” and selling DVD copies of his special “What a Miserable DVD This Is.”
