Hot Chip Bio
Hot Chip is an electric music band and Grammy Award, Mercury Prize, and Virgin Media Music Awards nominee from London. The group is known for the ability of its vocalists Alexis Taylor and Joe Goddard to contrast beautifully with each other and transcend the eerie and often monotonous sounds that characterize the electronic genre.
In 2006, Hot Chip released its second full-length studio album, The Warning, which saw both commercial and critical success. Singles “Boy from School” and “Over and Over” both entered the UK Top 40 chart, while the record hit number thirteen on the U.S. Top Electronic Albums chart. Critics compared the effort to varying works of artists like Paul McCartney and New Order.
In total, Hot Chip has released five studio albums, including 2012’s In Our Heads, another hit with both fans and critics. Over the years, Hot Chip performances have become some of the best opportunities for guests to enjoy a concert-long dance party.
