nlaureola Oct 26, 2012 Glass Candy is an extremely apropos name for this band. It's pop-ish, but jarring and you can't help getting into if even if it feels a little bit dangerous. After days worth of FYF Fest, I was completely burned out on DJ sets by the time Glass Candy Came on, and their live vocals and straight up synth were such a breath of fresh air. The crowd's dancing even felt reinvigorated. If you're like me were disappointed in Crystal Castles's second album, Glass Candy is the ticket. They take screaming female vocals and hard experimentation and make fun, rockin' electronica without turning into generic "EDM." At the very least, it will make you want to jump.
