skylar.hardenbrook May 8, 2013 George has an illustrious career beyond his pop vocal hits that he put out in the late 70s and beyond. Alongside his massive-selling albums, such as Breezin', which gained him national attention, he has numerous other albums on crucial jazz labels Prestige, Verve, A&M and CTI which really reflect the transition of his music from straight ahead jazz to smooth jazz. Almost all his albums are still relatively common, so they're easy and inexpensive to come across in vinyl form. Undoubtedly, George is one of the most prominent guitarists in the jazz world, who I'm glad to see is still touring. His recording career is approaching 50 years soon, and he hasn't slowed much in that time!
