I saw these cats WAY back in the day when I was running live music venues in Seattle and let me tell you something: if you don't have fun at a Fishbone show (pulls out his Buffalo Bill voice from "Silence of the Lambs") - You Don't Know What Fun Is!!! These guys are what indie music is all about. It should be a requirement for anyone into indie rock and/or ska to see one of their kinetic shows. I've seen several Mighty, Mighty Bosstones shows and at their peak they were a helluva live show, but the nights I caught Fishbone back in the day will be indelibly etched in my psyche. I couldn't tell you the venues I saw them in (though I could guess and probably be right), but I can tell you I think I lost ten pounds per show, dancing, moshing, and flat-out grooving to what is undoubtedly one of the greatest indie bands of all time - ska or not. Just go to iTunes and download "Everyday Sunshine" and TRY to be unhappy. it's physically impossible. See them before it's too late because bands can't tour forever (except the Stones) and this brand of funky fun is a can't-miss life experience.
