Deborah Green Mar 4, 2013 EOTO, or End of Time Observatory, graced Athens with their presence on February 28, 2013 at the Georgia Theatre. Michael Travis and Jason Hann, the dynamic duo we know as EOTO, are EDM Lords. At around 12:15, throbbing beats began to penetrate the stage. Greeted with the electronic flow of melodies were the psychadelic lights with razor-vibrant lasers. This light extravaganza, formally known as "the Lotus Experience," is a series of Lotus petal projections exemplified with magnificent colors that wrap around EOTO as they jam the night away. Better yet, EOTO is infamous for their improvised live sets. I have seen EOTO three times now and can honestly testify that each show has been purely unique. They combined different beats with electronic funk to create masterpiece after masterpiece that night. From the bummed out looks of the audience, everyone was sad when the magic came to an end. Overall, the night was one to put in the books. Great music, great crowd, and great vibes. I fully promote that everyone experience an EOTO show at least once to fully understand the complexity and magic involved in each show.
