Earl Klugh has captivated fans with his soulful jazz and blues rhythms starting at an early age. Born in Detroit, Michigan, on September 16, 1953, Klugh was mesmerized by the skills of guitar player Chet Atkins as a child, which inspired his first recording at age 15.
In 1973, Klugh’s increasing talent earned him the attention of jazz guitarist George Benson. The duo produced the album One on One, which received a Grammy in 1981 for Best Pop Instrumental Performance.
Throughout his decorated career Klugh has released over 30 albums, 23 of which reached top 10 on the Billboard charts, as well as 12 Grammy nominations. Klugh continues to share his passion for jazz and blues music with fans today, so be sure to check for Earl Klugh tour dates soon!
