Buckcherry shook the rock world starting in the mid-1990s from Los Angeles, California, with their hard rock style. The band was started by Josh Todd, a Southern California native, with Keith Nelson and they were later joined by Jonathan Brightman and Devon Glenn under the name Sparrow. After performing at a number of Hollywood venues, Sparrow signed with DreamWorks Records and changed their name to Buckcherry, which was inspired by a drag queen they knew, named Buck Cherry. Their first album, Buckcherry, was released in 1999, followed by five other albums between 2001 and 2013. Buckcherry’s most famous songs included “Crazy Bitch” and “Sorry,” which was their first top ten hit on the Billboard Hot 100.
