nlaureolaFeb 13, 2013Blondie is my hero. Her confidence, musical talent, and personal style are all off the charts. Videos of her live performances are entertaining to watch, and it's obvious she has a great, charismatic stage presence. I would love to have been able to see Blondie in their heyday but am resigned to listening intently to all the classics. Debbie Harry is one of the forerunners of the strong female vocalist, and fans of Metric, Blonde Redhead, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, or any other female-fronted rock band ought to get themselves an education in all things Blondie. I highly recommend getting into it, if only to see how chicks rocked back the in day.
Chad FreetOct 5, 2012The first record I ever bought with my own money was a Blondie record. I used to have a big crush on Debbie Harry, and I still kinda do. She has one of the best female rock voices in music history. With songs like “Call Me”, “The Tide is High”, “Heart of Glass”, “Rip Her To Shreds”, and my favorite “Atomic” the band has cemented its place in the heavy rotation section in my cd collection (yes – cd collection). And at a time when 70s/80s bands release music that is only a fraction of what they used to be, Blondie keeps kicking ass. I’ve seen them live a few times and its always a fun, dancey, bounce up and down, rock out time. I'm glad they're still around doing their thing.
