Formed in 2004 in Baltimore, the indie rock duo Beach House is comprised of Alex Scally (guitar, keyboard) and French-born Victoria Legrand (vocals, organ), who produce dreamy, complex, and mellow music. Although Beach House has released four studio albums -- Beach House, Devotion, Teen Dream, and Bloom, the latter two with Sub Pop Records -- the duo is mostly known for its psychedelic live shows. In addition to touring internationally, the band is a favorite at festivals like Coachella, Pitchfork, Glastonbury, and SXSW. Beach House toured with Vampire Weekend and Dum Dum Girls in 2010 and received wider exposure through television appearances on the Late Show with David Letterman, The Jimmy Fallon Show, and Conan. A favorite of the Pitchfork Music crowd, Beach House is well-respected by its peers, and was selected by Animal Collective to perform at the band’s All Tomorrow’s Parties festival and by Portishead to appear at their ATP I’ll Be Your Mirror festival.
