AWOLNATION

Aaron Bruno – formerly of Under the Influence of Giants and Hometown Hero – formed and fronted AWOLNATION as a creative outlet because he needed a break from the collaborative process of his former bands. AWOLNATION was an opportunity for the songwriter and multi-instrumentalist to experiment and produce songs that didn’t fit in with his old groups.

The name AWOLNATION was inspired by the Bruno's high school nickname of Awol, which he earned by always leaving places without saying goodbye. The band’s first album, Megalithic Symphony, was released in 2011 on Red Bull Records to critical success. Its first single, “Sail,” peaked at number eighty-two on the Billboard Hot 100, and went platinum in the U.S. and double-platinum in Canada.

AWOLNATION performances have quickly become some of the most loved shows all over the world. The band’s songs have been featured on commercials and TV shows including The Good Wife, So You Think You Can Dance, Sons of Anarchy, and Vampire Diaries.
