Born in 1976 in the Netherlands, Armin van Buuren is a Dutch trance DJ and producer, voted number one in DJ Magazine’s “Top 100 DJs” four consecutive times.
In 2001, Armin started hosting his two-hour weekly radio show, A State of Trance (ASOT), which has become one of the most listened-to radio shows in the world with 15 million listeners. By successfully presenting a balance between progressive house and classic trance, the show has earned him international fame.
In 2011, to mark the 10-year anniversary and 500th episode of ASOT, Armin performed at five shows across five continents with a number of huge artists, including Gareth Emery, ATB, Sander van Doorn, Dash Berlin, and Markus Schulz. Hundreds of thousands of people attended the five-week long celebration.
His third album, Imagine, entered the “Dutch Album Top 100 Chart” at number one in 2008 – the first time a dance producer had done so in the history of Dutch music.
One of the world’s most popular DJs, Armin has performed at the biggest music festivals all over the world, including Electric Daisy Carnival (Las Vegas), Beyond Wonderland, Ultra Music Festival, and Together As One.
Worshipped for his nine-hour sets, Armin’s shows usually sell out within hours.
His best known tracks include “Suddenly Summer,” “Not Giving up on Love,” “Drowning,” “In and Out of Love,” and “We Are Here to Make Some Noise.”
