Born Nick van de Wall in 1987 in Spijkenisse, Netherlands, Afrojack is a Dutch DJ and producer who began his DJ career in Rotterdam clubs as a teenager. At age nineteen, he moved to Crete and played every DJ gig he could find, slowly coming to the attention of others in the music scene. Afrojack has had ten singles chart in the Netherlands, with a few gaining considerable international airplay, including “Take Over Control” feat. Eva Simons, “No Beef” with Steve Aoki, and “Can’t Stop Me” with Shermanology. His single with Pitbull, Ne-Yo, and Nayer, “Give Me Everything,” hit #1 in the U.S., UK, and other countries. As a producer, Afrojack has released significant hits for David Guetta (“Toyfriend,” “Louder than Words,” “Lunar,” “I Just Wanna F”), Major Lazer (“Pon de Floor”), Chris Brown (“Look at Me Now”), and Pitbull (“Maldito Alcohol,” “Party Ain’t Over,” “Have Some Fun,” “I’m Off That”). His remixes include work with Lady Gaga, The Black-Eyed Peas, Snoop Dogg, and PSY. In 2007, Afrojack started his own label, Wall Recordings.

Rachel Sun May 7, 2013 From the sand between my toes to the salty ocean breeze, seeing Afrojack on the beach in Cancun was nothing short of amazing. I was fortunate enough to weave my way to the front and see him up close. It was almost as if the bass was alive in my chest, pulsating to the beat of the music. I closed my eyes, and the combination of the beach and the beats seemed too good to be true. When I opened my eyes again, the lights were simply unreal. The visuals on the screens were so dynamic and a mixture of smoke machines and lasers made the crowd come alive. To end his set, he played his new song fittingly named “Cancun.” By far, the best concert I’ve been to.

Natalie Moyce Oct 19, 2012 Ah where do I begin. He was my favorite DJ for a long time, I love Dutch house and his signature sound. I saw him in Amsterdam, his home town, last summer, and he played at AIR which is a really cool new nightclub with monster sound. I had an amazing time, and stood right in front of him because the club was tiny; I actually stood up on the platform surrounding the DJ booth right in front of him. He's also really good friends with Steve Aoki who was there with him and also played after him, and it was cute to see them chatting and hanging out while throwing a raging party. I saw Afrojack again at Escape from Wonderland for my birthday last year, and while he put on a good show, it was so clearly catered to the masses as opposed to Amsterdam, where you could tell he just played whatever he felt like. His music now is pretty mainstream and not as good as it once was, but I still remember my love affair with him and listen to his old stuff. "Ghettoblaster" and "Bangduck" are classics.

Gabriel Larkman Aug 13, 2012 Afrojack is one of the best DJs out there. His song "Take Over Control" stills frequents my party playlists. I have seen him spin three times - At EDC Vegas, Identity Festival, and Sensation White Belgium. Each time he blows my mind and make me wanna just bernie the night away. Some of his newer stuff I'm not that big of a fan of, like "Can't Stop Me Now." But Afrojack sure knows how to turn up a party. I would definitely recommend seeing him as soon as you can!
